What is OVAN?
OVAN is a combined formulation of extracts, derived from the Neem plants and other plants hence carries the name “OVAN” to signify it. OVAN is a foliar spray concentrate based on a natural crop protection approach that makes use of the diversity found in nature itself.
Plants based insecticides have been extensively used in agriculture against pests due to their several appealing features such as they are more biodegradable, less hazardous, and are a rich source of chemicals with diverse biological activity. Owing to the fact that application of synthetic insecticides has envenomed the surroundings, and to avoid targeting other organisms, natural products of plant origin, with insecticidal properties, have attracted considerable interest in organic farming in the recent times.
